These funds will go towards general operating costs, props, costumes, printed music scores, programs, paid trained staff for our actors with special needs, facilitating workshops that are starting in 2015 and continuing throughout the year, and equipment for our annual production.

Mission
Magic Moments Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes the arts by fostering an environment of acceptance, growth, learning, and support for our participants and the larger community by inviting people of all ages and abilities, amateur and professional, to perform in original musical theater productions. Magic Moments supports people for what they can do, no matter what they "can't do." Our actors include adults, teens and kids, and we support workshops for aspiring actors.
Background Statement
This year marks Magic Moments 40th Anniversary. Created in the early 1980s by a small group of choir members from St. Mary's Catholic Church banded together to assist the Bridge Home for the Developmentally Challenged. They raised funds for the Bridge Home by performing a musical. In keeping with the spirit of the event, they also provided an opportunity for some of the residents of Bridge Home to perform in the production.
While not affiliated with any religious organization, Magic Moments has remained true to its original mission of including people of all ages and abilities in its productions.
Since its humble beginnings almost 40 years ago, Magic Moments has evolved considerably and programming now consists of producing an annual musical with a cast of up to 200 actors! This production provides an equal opportunity for performers with special needs to participate in all aspects of production. Our diverse casts also include performers whose ages range from 5 to 85, and novices as well as professional actors. We take pride in fostering an environment of acceptance, growth, learning and support for all or our members and the larger community. We learn about out each other's unique talents, and to appreciate everyone for the special focus they bring to Magic Moments. Then we share these lessons with our community.
Through its programming, Magic Moments offers the community the opportunity to be entertained and enlightened regarding the theatrical talents and abilities of people with physical and developmental disabilities. We work to raise our audiences' awareness regarding these members of our community while delivering a professional-quality, highly entertaining theatrical experience to our audiences. We are also committed to keeping our ticket prices affordable.
