Testimonials

A young boy came to MSV after 7 years in the foster care system. The child had been removed from the biological home at the age of 4 due to physical and sexual abuse. The child was in 27 different foster homes and 4 shelters prior to MSV. With clinical treatment, patience, and loving care, he slowly learned to control his behavior, and become a happy young man.

Background Statement

Mount Saint Vincent was founded by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth in 1883 as an orphanage all children.

In 1969 the needs changed and Mount Saint Vincent became a residential and day treatment facility for children suffering from a wide range of emotional and behavioral problems.

In 2022, the needs once again changed. In order to reach more families and children, our focus has shifted to our Day Treatment, In-Home, Foster Care and

In-Patient Programs.

Over 20,000 children have been cared for by Mount Saint Vincent. During that time, the unwavering purpose has been to work with families and children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or mental illness.

Mount Saint Vincent has served Colorado's children and families for 140 years and that mission continues today.
