Libraries build community! Public funding supports basic library services such as facilities, staff, collections, and operating expenses, while private funding provides for programming, services, and capital projects to enable residents to learn, discover, create, and connect.

Testimonials

"Mesa County Libraries provides a variety of tools that are extremely valuable at no cost so that any resident, regardless of their socio-economic background, can access resources to further their education or interests."

=====

"The library benefits our community in lots of ways! Book borrowing first and foremost of course. I love the digital borrowing as well, I use that more often than anything else. I also love the fact that we just have a space to grow our community, in whatever ways."

=====

"The library is a place of resource and refuge for the entire community. It is a safe place for creativity and expression, something this valley needs."

Mission

Through its fundraising, the Mesa County Libraries Foundation supports, sustains, and enhances Mesa County Libraries' efforts to enrich lives and build community.

Background Statement

Established in 1994, the Mesa County Libraries Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit entity formed exclusively for the purpose of expanding library programs and services. Its primary function is to secure financial and in-kind donations to supplement local tax support.

The Foundation offers donors a reliable vehicle for tax-deductible contributions. Restricted donations for the Clifton Capital Campaign of $250 or more qualify for the Enterprise Zone state tax credit. Donors also have the option to designate gifts to a particular program or service.
