Loveland Habitat for Humanity

Our 2020 Colorado Gives campaign will help us raise the funds needed to help build a new Habitat home in 2020. Our goal is $17,500, roughly 10% of the total cost for a decent, affordable Habitat home. We help families move from overcrowded, unsafe housing into a permanent, affordable home they own.

Mission Statement

Seeking to put God's love into action, Loveland Habitat of Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Organization History

Our shared vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Started in 1987, Loveland Habitat for Humanity is one of the most productive, per capita, affiliates in Colorado. Through the labor of thousands of volunteers and the sweat-equity of low-income families, we have completed over 146 homes and 27 home preservation projects in our city.

Our organization brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. We work with people in need, while striving to make affordable housing a matter of conscience throughout the Loveland area and around the world.

To accomplish this, we raise money, recruit volunteers and work in partnership with low income people needing housing. We believe that by working at a local level, we can better use our resources and make an immediate difference in people's lives.

We work to provide a hand-up, not a hand-out. Habitat volunteers build houses in partnership with low income families. The houses are then sold to the families at no profit and no interest.

Alison Hade, Administrator, Community Partnership Office, City of Loveland
"Loveland Habitat for Humanity is a City of Loveland preferred partner that is consistently able to provide affordable home ownership for residents. I don't know what we would do without this organization."

Ron Neher, Volunteer, Loveland Habitat for Humanity
"During my time volunteering for Loveland Habitat for Humanity, I have noticed the generosity of people giving of their time, talent, and monetary wealth, simply because they want to share. Numerous families have been blessed with donations through Loveland Habitat for Humanity."

Kelly Jaggie, Loveland Habitat for Humanity Homeowner
I feel so blessed to have been approved for a Habitat for Humanity Home. It has allowed me to provide a stable, safe and affordable home for my son and I in today's expensive housing market. I am now able to start planning for the future and not just live paycheck to paycheck with no means to be able to save for emergencies. I could not feel more blessed and appreciative to Habitat and the community for giving me this opportunity.

Alfred & Stephanie, Loveland Habitat for Humanity Homeowners
No matter how hard we work, we just could not qualify for a conventional loan. With the assistance of Loveland Habitat for Humanity, our home loan will be affordable and we're able to support our family and take care of them. We have 3 children and this house means everything to us…it's the American Dream.

Jeremy & Lisa, Loveland Habitat for Humanity Homeowners
With our large family (we have 4 boys), it's been really difficult to find decent, affordable housing in Loveland. We weren't looking for a hand-out…we just needed assistance to get into a home that was affordable for us, to provide the security and quality of life that we want for our family. Loveland Habitat for Humanity has enabled us to meet the needs of our growing family.
