Mission
The mission of Hope for Paws Colorado includes:
Arrange and provide the safe transportation of shelter and rescue animals to rescues and adoptive homes in Colorado.
Rescue pets from high-kill and rural areas, provide needed medical care and behavioral training and help find their forever homes.
Facilitating the funding, resources, volunteers, transport, supplies, communications and arrangements to provide rescue animals the opportunity to have safe, happy and healthy lives.
Assist with the costs of veterinary care and supplies for shelter and rescue animals.
Organize and help sponsor spay/neuter events in needed communities.
Solicit and distribute food and supply donations to shelters and rescue groups.
Help educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets as well as responsible pet ownership.
Spread the message that it is better to adopt and save a life than to buy from a pet store or an unprofessional breeder.
Coordinate resources for special needs rescue animals.
Background Statement
Hope for Paws Colorado was formed in June, 2016, taking over the regular transports from C.A.R.E. We have since expanded our transport offerings to include Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. Additionally, the summer of 2018 we are launching the Pet Rescue element of our organization.
