Hope For Animals is an all volunteer no kill rescue organization. We are a foster home program. We rescue animals from overcrowded shelters that would otherwise have no chance for a loving home. Besides taking healthy animals, we also take animals with health issues, injuries and mom's & puppies.

Testimonials

I wanted to send a picture from my very first vacation with my Mom and Dad. We went with my big sister, Maggie too. Bailey had to stay home with a dog sitter because he is old and has a hard time getting in and out of the car. We first started out in Aspen to meet some of Moms friends. I amazed Mom by how much I LOVE kids. They are such fun play things. I was the entertainment for kids and adults alike because I am just soo funny. Then we went to Palisade where I got to go on a really cool hike - boy can these little legs go! I had sooo much fun. Mom was worried I overdid it but after a short nap I was raring to go again. I also got to meet my first chickens and go wine tasting with Mom and Dad. I don't get the wine thing but they seem to like it. Then we were on to the best part. I went on a hike on Kebler Pass. I didn't think I could ever have so much fun! Oh my! Sister Maggie was a really bad girl though cause she rolled in horse poop. Mom and dad washed her in the river where I antagonized her the whole time. Today we just hung around Crested Butte where we went shopping and ate outside at restaurants. People love me. I do have a bit of work to do learning how not to snap when people approach me but when they let me meet them on my terms, I am great! This has been the best week ever! Mom and dad love me so. I fit right in and love that they take me with them all the time. Mom even bought me my first coat because it was cold here in the mountains this morning. We head home tomorrow. I am going to miss the excitement of vacation but I really like home too!
Thank you for taking care of me when I was just a babe and for helping me find a wonderful home where I am so loved!

Mission

Our Mission is to help abandoned, lost and suffering animals through rescue, shelter and public education. We will raise and hold funds for those not able to speak for themselves. Working alone or with other rescue organizations, shelters and animal welfare groups, we will be their advocates for rehoming, veterinary services and humane treatment, regardless of species, breed or age.

Background Statement

Our organization was originally formed in 1995 to assist the Clear Creek County Animal Shelter by providing veterinary care, mobile pet adoptions, bedding, food, dog walking program and general assistance to the staff at the shelter. In 2007 when the new shelter was built, we changed our name from Clear Creek County Animal Rescue League to Hope For Animals in memory of Hope, a dog that we rescued that was nearly starved to death, blind, diabetic and had cancer. Her story can be found on our rescue web site: www.hfaccr.org We fulfilled our dream of having a foster home program to help animals like Hope and place them in a loving foster home until their permanent home was found.
