Harley's Hope Foundation

A nonprofit organization

Pets are family too! Harley's Hope was created to ensure no companion/service animal suffers or is surrendered/euthanized needlessly! We believe the bond between a human and animal should be preserved in the face of life's challenges. Since 2010, Harley's Hope has helped close to 3,000 pets.

Thank you for helping me save Trouble's life. I appreciate your kindness more than you will know. Thank you not just for me and Trouble, but for all the animals your organization has saved.

Thank you so much for all your help. You've been incredible through this. I don't have any family so you've been such a huge help - more
then you could know.

Mission

Our purpose is to ensure low income pet parents and their companion or medical service animals remain together when issues arise. The goal in doing so is to prevent at-risk animals from being surrendered or falling victim to euthanasia for treatable conditions and behaviors.

Background Statement

Harley's Hope Foundation was created on the premise that no companion or service animal should suffer needlessly and that the bond between human and animal should be preserved and protected in the face of life's challenges. Our foundation's ambition is to provide a holistic and prevention-based approach to alleviate animal hardship and to establish ourselves as proactive leaders in the welfare of animals and the human lives they impact. Why? Because adoption is only the first step in the journey.

Since December of 2010, more than 11,000 animals have received assistance of some sort through Harley's Hope Foundation. The majority of cases involve major and emergency veterinary care or emergency boarding, although we have also assisted with pet food support, too. We have realized a 96% retention rate with our client animals, meaning that the animals are still alive, well, and living in their original homes 6 months post-assistance.

We endeavor to help as many people and pets as possible, and have created a well-diversified development plan to generate revenue, but need additional financial and volunteer help to meet the public demand. Need for our services continues to grow, but funding for safety net charities is sadly limited. We participate in major fundraising campaigns like Colorado Gives Day and the Give! Campaign, but need funding throughout the year to support our programs.
