Testimonials

"We are the family who adopted Bojangles on Saturday. He is as cute on the inside as he is on the outside and is enjoying "herding" the five adults in his life whom, in a matter of hours, he has managed to wrap around his nub of a tail! We didn't have an opportunity to thank his foster mom Leslie for her efforts in caring for him & his siblings. That he has settled in so well including consistently using the dog door on his own is to her credit. We'll happily continue where she & HSSPV left off ensuring that "Bo" has an amazing life. Thank You!" - Lynn W.

"Two years ago today I adopted Aspen, a SharPei/Bull Terrier mix from you guys! I already had a female SharPei-cross when we brought him home. They love each other, and always go on adventures together. Aspen has brought happiness and tons of entertainment to all. Thank you." - Angela B.

"My husband and I adopted Juliet aka Jules a little over two weeks ago and continue to fall more in love with her every day! Even our finicky cat, Flavor, can't resist cuddling up to Jules. Jules and Chief (our other pittie) seem to be soulmates! They are inseparable- from obedience classes to long hikes and everything in between. Jules is a true joy to our family! In our neighborhood, Jules and Chief are regular celebrities- milking the spotlight and loving all the attention (and treats!) Our local police even find themselves charmed by our dynamic duo. Thank you for all the care Jules received while at HSSPV. Words cannot express our gratitude!" - Dominick & Bailey P.

"Both of my boys made it home to Chicago after a 14 hour car ride. After resting all day yesterday, Jericho and I went on a 5.5 mile leisurely walk on Lakeshore Drive walking path. He's loving the Chicago life and we love him. He's an absolute joy and we're thrilled to have him in our lives. He's so spoiled already but we think he deserves to be." - Heather L.

"Our adopted dog Lou (renamed "Blue") is LOVING his life in the great wide outdoors. This morning Blue and his big brother took a long hike and found multiple elk bones in a big wide open space. He is the most fit and happy dog I have ever known. Great job for creating such a safe place for him to chill until I came and found him. Cheers!!" - Kelly H.

"One year ago today, my husband and I went to an adoption event at Petsmart and gave this little girl her forever home. We (and Katie Bug) are incredibly thankful for the work of HSSPV!" - Heather R.

Background Statement

The Humane Society of the South Platte Valley, Inc. (HSSPV) was founded in September of 2009 and officially opened on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2009.
