The challenging project for GLAHS at present is the development of the Cottage Camp, to be a unique museum site interpreting the impact of the automobile on the West. The centerpiece will be the Smith Eslick Cottage Court, the earliest original condition "motor court" in existence. With your support and partially funded by a grant from History Colorado - State Historical Fund, the Cottage Court is now completely restored, and is listed on both the CO State Register of Historic Properties and National Register of Historic Places. The next phase for the project is essential - fabrication and installation of exhibits at the site. So many stories to tell, so much history to share! We want to accomplish a lot in the coming year. And your support is vital!
Third-party vendors charge credit card and electronic check processing fees when you make an online donation. Two percent of each donation helps to cover these fees and ensures the program's long-term sustainability. The two percent processing fee is one of the lowest processing fees in the country.
You will automatically receive an on-screen acknowledgement letter and an e-mailed copy for your donation. Every donation is tax deductible as a charitable contribution to the full extent permitted by law. If you make a donation to a charity that offers Child Care or Enterprise Zone credits (additional Colorado state tax credits), Community First Foundation will acknowledge that your donation was processed successfully, but the charity will issue you an additional receipt pursuant to that. To learn more about these tax credits, contact the specific nonprofits.
Thank you for Donating through ColoradoGives.org: ColoradoGives.org partners with local nonprofits to facilitate online giving. Nonprofits trust us to process their online donations because of our low processing fees, security and other great things. We do this because we're a nonprofit, too!
