GraceFull Foundation exists to cultivate a healthier, more connected and stronger community.  They do this by providing a home in Littleton where people of all backgrounds can gather, eat well, and be inspired to give back.  GraceFull Community Cafe is a "pay what you can" cafe and provides access to a fresh healthy meal to everyone. GraceFull Foundation provides an average of 90 Grace in Action (free) meals per day ~ 110,873 total since we opened in May 2016 ~ to individuals that are struggling in the Littleton community. These Grace in Action meals cost an average of $20,000 per month.

In addition, we acknowledge the work to address the challenges of loneliness, food insecurity, homelessness, substance abuse disorder, and mental health. We collaborate through partnerships to provide knowledge of and access to resources, and we represent and advocate for those on the margins within our community. We invite the exploration of diverse perspectives outside of our worldview and individual situation while offering opportunities to connect, serve, share a meal and support each other.

We appreciate your donation and your willingness to partner with us in this work!

Testimonials

"Speaking on behalf of myself and my friends on the street, we have come to know GraceFull Cafe as family. Coming from an abusive, alcoholic home filled with trauma and unaddressed mental health issues, I found myself at 11 years old on the streets. My mom was in a treatment for alcohol, and I refused to live with an abusive alcoholic father. I began to sleep behind a gas station while continuing to go to school every day. I was scared, hungry, and trying to figure out how I was going to survive. People would pass right by me and seem to look right through me like I wasn't even there. It was soul-chilling. Now at 37, living through my father's suicide, my mother's addiction and second divorce, a 6-year prison sentence for a foolish crime while under the influence: I have found HOPE. I found the amazing community at GraceFull. From the first moment I walked in the doors, seeing professionals, families and those who are struggling all in one place sharing the same food and the same space made me feel like a person again. I felt seen. The amazing community of GraceFull have provided me with a hot meal, and kind word of encouragement and connected me to resources and programs at other agencies.

GraceFull connected me to a sober living program that I am thriving in, offered me an internship at the cafe which allows me to give back to my community, and an opportunity to learn from the example set by GraceFull that we are all a part of this community and to take time to see, hear and understand one another. "

"I just enjoy the smiling faces of the staff and their authenticity.  It is a special culture you've all created."

"I was going through a difficult time personally myself. Gracefull was a steadying and stabilizing place for me; a safe place!"

"I cherish the consistent experience of going home after each volunteer shift feeling filled with gratitude and happiness that I contributed in a small way to this community. I certainly get more than I give."

Background Statement

GraceFull Community Cafe and GraceFull Foundation were established in May 2016 by Heather and Troy Greenwood in historic downtown Littleton. Heather's passion for food ministry started at First Plymouth Church through her creation of a service group for families. She played a key role in developing a food outreach partnership between First Plymouth and Denver Inner City Parish at College View in 2009, including monthly brunches and special holiday events including an annual Thanksgiving meal and Christmas Santa Shop. In 2012, Troy and Heather left the states with their family for a year of service in Uganda, Africa and Heather's passion for developing relationships over shared meals continued to evolve. Upon returning to the states in August 2013 Heather began working on a business plan for a community cafe that partnered with a non profit Foundation to invest in the community it served. This dream became a reality with the opening of GraceFull's doors on May 24, 2016. GraceFull Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner of GraceFull Community Cafe and has three primary programs. These include Grace in Action Meals, Community Volunteerism and a monthly Community Breakfast. GraceFull Cafe & Foundation celebrated 7 years this past May and are excited to continue serving the Littleton community in the years to come.
