Testimonials

"Earl and I are totally thrillled with and in love with our puppy Samson! He's intelligent, exuberant, and loving ( as well as uncontrollable when he's excited or determined to explore something) We simply adore him."
-Nancy LaRoche, Co-Manager, Colorado House Rabbit Society

"Wiley has a clean bill of health from our vet! We taught Wiley how to go in and out of doors, how to go up and down stairs, and how to play with toys - he really never got to be a puppy until now. He is the kindest, gentlest soul we have ever met. Doug and I have traveled all over with him and he loves our mountain home near Estes Park the best! Our aging Jack Russell, Badger, romps like a puppy again, along side Wiley. He is always grinning so we have nick named him Smiley Wiley. What a huge blessing Wiley has been for our family - I am sending some photos to you of this amazing dog!!!"

"On Tuesday, May 1st, we celebrated Mandy's 9th birthday! We had Turducken, plenty of treats, and a long walk with Franklin. It's hard to believe that it's been 8 years since I adopted her. She's still spunky, rowdy, and a bunch of fun. A little more than a year ago, Mandy tore an ACL, and did it
badly. Luckily, she got a quick surgery date with the incredible Dr. Chris Glawe. He's the best! She came through the surgery like a champ, tolerated rehab, and is fully back to her active little self.
Mandy loves sleeping in the bed with me, her Mama. She's sweet and special, and keeps big ol' Franklin (the Rottie) in line! I love her, and will always be thankful that Good Sam took the time and the love to save this incredible girl. She was only 10 months when she was scheduled for euthanasia because of medical problems, but that was not to be. Good Sam took care of her, fostered her, and now we are a forever family.
Thank you so much for all you do, and more than anything, thank you for MANDY."
Best, Amy Ahonen

"Calvin (Max) is doing great! He doesn't like to be left alone, but doesn't seem especially bothered by it. He has had a couple accidents, but is learning really fast. He has even learned to use the doggy door, when it suits him, and to "fake" going potty when the grass is cold and wet and he would rather have breakfast.
We introduced him to some canine cousins this weekend and he had a blast playing once he got to know them. We had to take his collar off because Addy kept cheating and using it to her advantage in the wrestling.
Please pass on our thanks to Diane. Calvin is such a good puppy and I'm sure she had a lot to do with that. And Thank You for allowing us to adopt him."

"We LOVE Tilly! She has settled in and has decided that she is "family" without any trouble (the grouchy cat - Bob - has even made friends...and the cuddly cat - George - is thrilled to have a doggie friend to play with). Tilly lights up and her tail moves fast whenever Ben (our 3-year-old) is around, and Ben is so excited to have "my very own dog". Thank you for letting us meet her and for taking such good care of her (...I think she has been a bit spoiled at Diane's house ) until she could come to join our family. She's a perfect fit, and we have all fallen in love with her already!!"

"I thought I would let you know that Missy is very well adjusted to her forever home. She has been with us 6 months now and is loved by everyone in our family. She's met our sons, grandchildren, aunts, nephews, their wives and children and other various family members including K-9's. She gets along with everyone and they with her. She also loves our mail carrier who brings her a treat each day. We have a neighbor who has a couple of young kids, one boy in first grade and one girl in pre-school. When they walk home Missy greets them and they love to pet her. She is a joy to have. We and Missy are so happy to be a family."
Thank you

"I am so grateful for Good Samaritan Pet Center! They have helped me find new homes for my 2 cats and my 2 dogs after several doctors told us that my daughter had a life threatening condition that was being complicated by our pets. Beth has gone above and beyond to help. She made sure our cats and dogs went to great homes and were able to stay together. It has been a difficult past few months for my family, but thanks to the help of Good Samaritan I can sleep better at night knowing my daughter is no longer in danger and my pets went to the best possible homes! Thank you so much Good Samaritan, I don't know what we would have done without you!"

"As you know, my wife and I adopted "Oliver" last weekend. Things are going very well and he is just an adorable little guy...

Background Statement

In mid-2000 a group of caring and dedicated volunteers formally organized a quality animal welfare organization which would fill a special niche-to help abandoned pets find good homes, assist low income families with spay/neuter costs as well as other medical costs, and form a strong foster program in which abandoned animals are sheltered, loved and socialized until they are placed in permanent homes.

They called this new organization The Good Samaritan Pet Adoption Center, Inc.
