The goal of Friends of Arvada Fire Protection District (FAFPD) is to raise funds to reduce the financial burden for the Arvada Fire Protection District. Your support will allow firefighters and staff to spend more time focusing on their mission of responding to emergencies and providing safety and fire education to our community.

Friends of Arvada Fire recently purchased an ATTACK Digital Fire Training Panel for Arvada Fire's training section. This will allow us to deliver multiple realistic training scenarios without exposing our firefighters to smoke and carcinogens. FAFPD's commitment to providing our personnel with the equipment and resources needed has ensured continued excellence in the services we provide our community.

The FAFPD has provided much needed support for the Fire Marshal's Office Fire Investigation Team. With their support, we were able to outfit each fire investigator with their own state-of-the-art digital camera as well as a 360-degree camera for the team. The ability to properly photograph fire scenes is vital to the documentation of an investigation. If it were not for the FAFPD we would have needed to extend the purchase of much needed equipment over a three-to-four-year period. FAFPD is a great asset for the AFPD.

Our Mission
The Friends of Arvada Fire Protection District (FAFPD) was formed to raise money for and otherwise support the Arvada Fire Protection District (AFPD). Those members who formed FAFPD envision an organization that will reduce AFPD's financial burden and allow AFPD to spend more of its time focusing on its mission of responding to emergencies within the community.
The majority of FAFPD's efforts are centered around fundraising. The money raised by FAFPD will be used to support AFPD both administratively and in connection with its Operations Division and various safety and educational programs supported by the Community Risk Reduction section. The funds that are raised by Friends of Arvada Fire will be used for items and activities such as:

The Friends of Arvada Fire Protection District (FAFPD) was established in 2012 to raise money for and to support the Arvada Fire Protection District (AFPD). The founding members of FAFPD envision an organization that will reduce AFPD's financial burden and allow AFPD to spend more of their time focusing on their mission of responding to emergencies within the community. The Final IRS determination letter was issued on February 11, 2013 classifying Friends of Arvada Fire as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
