Description

Recreation League is an instructional program for youth ages 5-17 in the Fort Collins area. This program promotes full player participation including the development of a healthy attitude toward sportsmanship and respect for authority, together with the instruction in baseball rules, skills, and the elements of play. FCBC also offers recreational opportunities for team play during the fall and at the Edge Sports Center for winter indoor leagues. The scholarship fund is strictly for players in these recreational programs, offering low-income families who qualify full or reduced fee waivers for their children who register.

Evidence of Program's Success

We know that this reduced fee offering is successful because 42% of players who received scholarships in 2013 reapplied for the waiver in 2014. Post-season surveys sent out to all participating families provide valuable information about how parents and players experience our programs. Each year we use this information to make improvements to the player experience.
