Mission Statement

The mission of the Family Learning Center (FLC) is "to work in partnership with the community as a non-denominational, not-for-profit organization to serve children and families in the Eagle River Valley, Colorado by providing affordable, quality early childhood learning programs and child care, using developmentally appropriate practices in a safe, healthy and nurturing environment".

Organization History

The Family Learning Center has been serving Eagle River Valley children and their families since 2000. We partner with Eagle County and the school district to serve Early Head Start and Colorado Preschool Program students. Currently, approximately 80% of our children receive need-based tuition support to attend school. The generosity of local businesses, individuals and foundations allows us to provide this critically needed support to over 125 children aged eight weeks to six years.

"Thank you for taking such exceptional care of our children...we are so grateful for the love and nurturing they have both received over the years."

"Thank you for all the love, guidance and learning you have given to our children...our son's transition into kindergarten has been seamless and I believe that is due, in large part, to the wonderful teachers and staff at the Family Learning Center who have helped prepare him since he was 8 weeks old...with a fabulous beginning to his education."
