EcoFlight

A nonprofit organization

EcoFlight educates and advocates for the protection of remaining wild lands, wildlife habitat, and culturally sensitive lands using small aircraft. The aerial perspective and our educational programs encourage an environmental stewardship ethic among citizens of all ages. The plane serves as a platform to bring policy-influencers, conservationists, and tribal members together through the shared experience of flight to discuss equitable solutions to some of the West's most pressing land and water concerns.

Mission

EcoFlight works with all sides of an issue, the plane providing a platform for conversations that lead to solutions. The aerial perspective and our ability to connect people and lift up underrepresented voices can be used to help build bridges between current conflicting viewpoints, bringing together students and locals from all backgrounds, partisan alliances, and faith-based groups.

Background Statement

From its inception in January 2002, EcoFlight has been providing the aerial perspective that essentially gives the land a voice. EcoFlight brings the power of flight to strategically engage the conservation community, students, media, policy makers and industry representatives, with a goal of collaborating on public lands issues to protect intact ecosystems, watersheds, and our last remaining wild lands.
