A position at Kent Denver School brought him to the front range for a number of years.
While serving as the Director of Middle School Admission, he mentored middle school students, coached lacrosse and co-directed the outdoor education program.
Having the opportunity to move back to Eagle County in 2012, he joined Eagle River Youth Coalition as the Program Director.
Jason has joined The Cycle Effect in 2019 as the Eagle County Program Coordinator. Having a passion for mountain biking and recognizing the tremendous emotional benefits of outdoor education, he is excited to be aboard the TCE team. In his spare time, Jason enjoys ski touring, running rivers and chasing his dog, Thor, around mountain trails.

Sophia Gianfrancisco, Development Associate
Start Date: 2019

Although she's a Florida girl at heart, Sophia loves standing on top of mountains. Her other passions include playing outside, helping others, empowering youth, drinking coffee and eating bagels. During her college years, she took numerous trips to Medellin, Colombia to teach workshops focused on self-care, life skills, goal setting, and career-building. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Family, Youth and Community Sciences, she took a road trip with a group of friends and moved across the country.

When she reached Colorado, she began working within the community to connect people to the outdoors. It was here that she gained a deep appreciation for our natural environment and believes these mountains have the greatest healing powers.

Upon discovering The Cycle Effect and their shared values, Sophia couldn't wait to jump on board. She is stoked to join the TCE community and spread their mission.
