The Durango Education Foundation supports the rural Durango School District public schools through four funding streams:
1) Classroom Grantsthat are impactful and encourage innovation and excellence in our schools ($160,000 in 2025)
2) Scholarships for our graduating seniors (over $115,000 awarded in 2025)
3) Service Events such as our two resource fairs and our teacher appreciation celebration that, together, served approximately 1,000 people in our community
4) Cause Campaigns such as the $350,000 Bridge the Gap campaign to help our students gain ground after Covid and our $50,000 Coding and Makerspace to bring high-quality curriculum and equipment to all Durango School District schools and, in 2025, our exciting Ignite Mobile Learning Lab, a school bus transformed to bring high tech learning to kids throughout the summer, during school, and after school!
The Durango Education Foundation provides relevant and innovative impact for our 9-R community through classroom grants, scholarships, and service.
