Participating in Colorado Gives Day is easy and fun!
Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Community First Foundation and FirstBank encourage all Coloradans to “Give Where You Live” on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, by donating to local nonprofits on ColoradoGives.org.
Colorado businesses can join the movement and encourage employees to take an active role in supporting local nonprofits. Demonstrate your corporate citizenship, build community with local nonprofits and engage employees in meaningful ways by participating in Colorado Gives Day.
Here are some ways your business can participate:
Place signage in your business to announce Colorado Gives Day.
Promote your support of Colorado Gives Day on your website and social media- Get Graphics!
Ask employees to visit ColoradoGives.org, search for a nonprofit to support and share their reasons with colleagues.
Bring snacks and set aside a time on December 6 (Colorado Gives Day) for employees to donate online together. Set up laptops or iPads in the lunchroom and celebrate with a donation party.
Match your employees’ donations.
Offer a jeans or casual day for those who plan to donate.
Ask employees to circulate the “I Gave Early” (if they schedule donations in advance) or the "I Gave" (if they donated on December 6) badges on their own Facebook pages. Get Badges!
Create a goal around dollars donated, number of employees giving or number of nonprofits supported. Ask employees to propose an award or special employee benefit for reaching the goal.
Create a challenge between departments for reaching the largest number of nonprofits supported (minimum donation is $5) or largest dollar amount donated. The winning department is treated to a free lunch from your business.
Ask employees to guess the amount they think will be raised on Colorado Gives Day. To participate, employees contribute to the pool; winner takes all.
Your company can support all of the nonprofits on ColoradoGives by participating as a sponsor of the Colorado Gives Day Incentive Fund! Colorado nonprofits need your help more than ever as they continue to navigate the post-pandemic challenges. Community First Foundation and FirstBank have seeded the Incentive Fund with the first one million. You can amplify its impact with a generous contribution and increase the value of every donation made.
