Description

The Denver Waldorf School (DWS) has many needs to support our scholarship programs for children of all ages to attend our independent school established in 1974. Currently we have seven different named scholarships that our 349 students can receive support from that are either merit or needs-based scholarships. More than 133 students 29% of our students received some form of tuition assistance during the 2018-2019 school year.

All donations to the scholarship program help support families to attend DWS.

Evidence of this program success includes a high enrollment rate, a high percentage of participation in annual giving and the retention of students and faculty.

We interdependently hire outside unaffiliated evaluators to look at our progress and success.

Description

The Denver Waldorf School (DWS) needs to improve its facility in three key ways with upgrades for safety, aesthetics and practical changes to enhance our programs.

Your capital campaign donation enables the School to move forward with major facility staples such as upgrades to our electrical panels, improving accessibility, providing better air quality and lighting and a more comfortable environment for our teachers and students.

Evidence of this program success includes documentation from the Buildings and Grounds Committee, the completed Campus Master Plan 2018.

The Buildings and Grounds Committee along with the Glam Squad continue to work in tandem to better our campus each year. This past year saw the completion of several facility fixes including asbestos abatement, new LED lighting for our gymnasium and outside campus, and the completion of the playgrounds to support both ECE, Kindergartens and Grades playfield activities.

Evidence of Program's Success

This year marks the 45th year of our existence and DWS is a great independent school located within the Denver Metro Area.

The past few years for annual giving have gone to support newer programs and positions such as the Pedagogical Director, support of our reading program, and continued support of our scholarship
