We help the working poor and food insecure with daily necessities such as food, clothing, personal hygiene items and household items. We are an El Paso County Enterprise Zone organization that offers donors a 25% tax credit certificate for donations of $250 or more.
Crossfire Ministries is a faith-based, non-profit organization seeing to put God's love into action, dedicated to offering hope and encouragement for a changed life by furnishing the necessities of daily living to those in need.
We deem daily necessities to be food, clothing, personal hygiene items and household items.
In 1992, John and Leslie Miller had a strong conviction to help people in need in their own community. They established Crossfire to help meet the physical needs of the food insecure, the working poor or underemployed and anyone in need. Crossfire has grown from giving a few loaves of bread to giving over one million pounds of food in 2017. In 2017, Crossfire's services were accessed over 96,000 times by close to 12,000 unique individuals. Crossfire's operations are accomplished by volunteers, including the Co-founders who have never taken a salary for the work they are doing in our community.
My daughters, ages 8 and 1, eat hot meals every morning directly because of Crossfire. -A Crossfire's Client
My income is less than $1800 gross a month and we are a family of six. Because of Crossfire we are able to eat nutritious meals and we do not go hungry. Crossfire's services help us reduce the financial stress and stay off of government assistance programs. -Kate
At Crossfire I have learned to hang clothes and tag them. I've learned to pay attention to what I am doing and be nice. Crossfire helps people living on their own and helps me. -A volunteer from Our House
