CSC is a grassroots organization based in Denver, CO with a mission to mobilize arts and education for social justice. CSC is rooted in racial equity. Our diverse team of artists and educators work with schools, organizations, and communities providing an array of programs and services including: open mic community cypher, consulting and professional development, mental health workshops, social justice interactive presentations, performances & assemblies, and youth enrichment & leadership development through the arts.
Generous donors and volunteers have been incredibly helpful through the years, supporting us through different transitions, a global pandemic and program redevelopment, allowing us to keep our programs innovative, accessible, responsive, and sustainable.

CSC grew out of a series of circles and participatory action research related to race, education, and the arts in Denver, Boulder, and Albuquerque in 2011 and 2012. Communities called for increased education, dialogue, training, and organizing for social and racial justice. With the insight and accountability of an expert advisory team, co-founders developed an integrated model for creating long term, community wide impact, integrating the "CSC 3": Social Justice Frameworks, Arts Engagement, and Restorative Practices. In 2013, CSC became an official 501(c)3 and a community partner with Denver Public Schools. We have been building community and youth programs and professional development and consulting services in Denver, and across Colorado and the US ever since.
