Testimonials

Cultural Center Testimonials:

"Cortez Cultural Center is the very best cultural organization of the Four Corners Region. Multiple times the CCC helped bring my musical projects to life. Their commitment to culture and community programming is executed at a high professional level. CCC looks out for their community providing space and help for their locals. CCC works and networks among the highest arts organizations in the nation including the Associations of Performing Arts Professionals, Chamber Music America, Mellon Foundation and Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Together CCC and I made history as we were the recipients of a national grant called ArtsForward. ArtsForward then put all its funding towards Cortez local businesses and community events. The Cortez Cultural Center may seem small but their outreach, projects and community are among the best models in the cultural and arts industries. I love CCC, the are my second home." Delbert Anderson, award-winning Dineh (Navaho) jazz trumpeter, composer, touring and recording artist (Delbert Anderson Trio, DDAT, and DDAT Management).

"This place has it all. From History to Indian Dances in the Summer. Stop in and see for yourself. Look in the back for a picture." Hayden on Tripadvisor

"We heard Sam Sandoval speak here about his experience as a World War II Navajo Codetalker. It was an unbelievable experience and we appreciate them setting up such events. He signed his book for us and spent time after the lecture. He is one of only a very few Codetalkers left on earth and lives in nearby Shiprock, NM. Look around the museum area for local artist creations and see the nightly Indian Dances just outside the center." Tripadvisor reviewer from Los Angeles, CA

"Center has interesting tidbits of the weather. Very enjoyable traditional native American dance performance laced with history and culture. Don't miss this." - Steve from Kenesaw

"We visited the Cortez Cultural Center for information about Mesa Verde. The very helpful staff told us everything we needed to know. Cortez is the gateway town to Mesa Verde and many other nearby attractions and the Cultural Center is a great source of information to them all. As well it has a museum and cultural programs such as American Indian dance performances (free)." - Sylvain from Australia
