Community Cupboard of Woodland Park, Inc.

Our children next door are going hungry. This thought keeps us up at night! On an average 42.5% of all students attending Woodland Park School District, Cripple Creek, Victor, Park County, and Ute Pass schools are on free/reduced lunches. So when schools out - what are they eating?

Mission Statement

Our mission is to help families and individuals in need, residing in Teller County and the Ute Pass area, by supplying them with five to seven days of emergency food when no means of support are available. Some Kids go hungry without help from our food pantry. This means the one meal these kids get at school might be the only meal they get that day. Let their summer be carefree without the worry of hunger!

Organization History

The Community Cupboard was founded in 1978 by individuals from the local faith community. Food was donated and stored for distribution to families and individuals. As time went on and needs in the community increased, we became a 501 (c) (3) non-profit agency in 1987.

I can't explain enough how much the Community Cupboard has helped me and my family. When our funds are low and we need help they are so helpful in every-way and polite! I love the Cupboard and so does my family. Thank you so.....Much! ~Crystal Hickman

The Community Cupboard helped me feed my family friend, our dog, Buddy....Thank you so much! - Becky

I moved to Woodland Park in November, right around Thanksgiving and my food stamps were gone! We were thinking about not have Thanksgiving. I asked around and was pointed to the Cupboard. They helped us so much! We ended up having an amazing Thanksgiving with great neighbors. It's March and we still come here :) ~ Ashley S.
