Mission Statement

We implore your help that each child feels the warmth and the spirit the Holidays bring in the security of their own homes. Right now families are struggling (maybe a little differently than at the time the "Little Match Girl" was written) but none the less just as much! Although Colorado is growing - budgets are shrinking.

For Without Your Help, Someone Will Go Without"

Organization History

The Community Cupboard is preparing to launch our 20th Annual Santa Gives! Toy campaign for families with children this holiday. We are continuing the mission started all the years ago - ensuring each child feels the warmth that the holidays bring. It hurts to know that over 68% of all children in our communities will go without in one way or another this holiday. Although Colorado is growing - budgets are shrinking. The Community Cupboard was established in 1978, a local food pantry built on helping others - For 40 years we have been providing Christmas dinner for families in need, so that come December 25th there will be a feast on their table. We are proud to be one of the founding Christmas Toy give-aways in our area. For 20 years the Community Cupboard has been helping dreams come true! Our Food Pantry will continue to provide families the chance to give their children the warmth and happiness that every child needs growing up - especially during the holiday season. We are more than just a Food Pantry - we are a family.

I moved to Woodland Park in November, right around Thanksgiving and my food stamps were gone! We were thinking about not have Thanksgiving. I asked around and was pointed to the Cupboard. They helped us so much! We ended up having an amazing Thanksgiving with great neighbors. It's March and we still come here :) ~ Ashley S.
