Advance the careers of women in law and protect the welfare of all women in our community by supporting the CWBA Foundation. The Foundation provides scholarships for local law students, and supports further charitable and educational work by the Colorado Women's Bar Association (CWBA).
The CWBA Foundation's mission and purpose is to promote the advancement of women in the law, and to protect and promote the welfare of all women. The CWBA Foundation raises funds to support programs and activities that meet this mission.
In 1992, the CWBA Foundation established the Leadership Circle, which was created to provide leadership in fundraising and sought a ten-year commitment of giving. Many generous supporters donated through the Leadership Circle. In June, 2012, the CWBA Foundation introduced the Circle of Minerva, a five-year giving program, to expand the scope of potential donors. The program is named after the goddess of wisdom and offers a simplified donation structure of giving $150 per year for five years. Our work could not be accomplished without its Circle of Minerva donors. This illustrious group is the backbone of the CWBA Foundation, representing a long list of CWBA and CWBA Foundation leaders and supporters. The entire amount of your contribution is tax-deductible.
Each year, the CWBA Foundation honors women lawyers who have made a difference in our communities and have "raised the bar" for all of us. The evening is always a memorable one with about 400 attendees gathering to celebrate the accomplishments of our honorees and to thank them for paving the way for other women in Colorado and around the nation.
We will make efforts to obtain written testimonials from those who receive our law school scholarships and grants.
