Colorado Springs Children's Chorale

A nonprofit organization

Although learning to sing well is our focus, the chorale provides opportunities for children to develop skills in goal setting, teamwork, self-discipline, poise, and self-confidence. It is our experience and belief that all youth can benefit from our outreach; we strive to negate any barriers.

Angela Seals, E.D. Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region: “In Harmony Festival is an experience that’s bigger than its individual parts. The dramatic venue, uplifting program, and total effect of so many diverse voices joining makes a powerful statement about arts education and collective good. It always fills me with hope.”

Henry Leck, Famous Choral Conductor, Father of the Children’s Choir Movement: “Recently I had the privilege once again to work with the Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale…. what an incredible group of young singers. Their expressivity, musicality and passion is inspirational! Each time I heard them perform, I was moved by their connection with the audience artistically. In an ensemble with unchanged, changing and fully changed voices, the ownership of the music, vocally was extremely impressive. Congratulations to all involved! Keep up the great work !”

Habitat for Humanity: "We just wanted to thank you SO much for coming all the way down to Fountain to sing at our Home Dedication. The children’s performances were extremely touching and people have been talking about it for days now!"

Background Statement

.Founded in 1977 as a civic children's choir, the Colorado Springs Children's Chorale (CSCC) has grown from a single choir of 25 children to four choirs with more than 200 members from 50 schools representing nine school districts throughout the Pikes Peak region. Located in Colorado Springs, CSCC serves the entire Pikes Peak Region, including the mountain towns of Teller County, the eastern plains regions of the state, the Tri-Lakes area at our northern-most end; and Widefield, Fountain, and Security to the south which includes a large military population. We are proud to serve a broad demographic in the community through concerts, workshops and residencies in all school districts; involvement in organizations such as the Pikes Peak Arts Council, Imagination Celebration, the Woodland Park Arts Alliance, the CS Sister City Committee, the Salvation Army, and the CS Diversity Forum.

CSCC presents two major concerts at the Pikes Peak Center and over 100 smaller concerts, workshops and other training sessions each year.
