Colorado Golf Association

The CGA conducts programs in support of its 90,000 members including championships, rules seminars and handicap support for more than 250 facilities and 500 participating clubs. The CGA also serves adults and children through unique and innovative community programming in three spaces: Caddie Programs, Golf in Schools and Community Outreach with non-profit partners.

Founded in 2012 at CommonGround Golf Course, the Solich Caddie & Leadership Academy gives you the opportunity to develop your leadership potential through a foundation built on caddying.

Start the best first job learning the caddie trade, and participate in our holistic summer program by attending weekly leadership  and financial literacy classes, and serve your community through volunteer opportunities. Meet your monthly requirements and earn educational grants every month.

Solich Caddie & Leadership Academy participants receive support toward post-secondary opportunities with many qualifying for the Evans Scholarship.

Youth on Course

Youth on Course makes golf affordable so kids can play as much as they want. For $50 per year, members ages 6-18 play participating courses for $5 or less with unlimited rounds.

Youth on Course is available for CGA junior members and removes every barrier between your junior player and the golf course. They'll connect with thousands of young golfers across Colorado who share their passion for the game. More rounds mean more improvement, more fun, and a love for golf that never fades.

Team Colorado

Team Colorado is Colorado’s state junior golf team that exists to expand the pipeline for elite local golfers into the U.S. National Development Program (USNDP), an initiative launched by the United States Golf Association (USGA).

The USNDP is designed to ensure that American golf is the global leader in the game by focusing on six key pillars: talent identification, access to competition, national teams, athlete resources, player development and relations and athlete financial support. Team Colorado focuses on creating a developmentally appropriate, aspirational pathway for athletes in Colorado to compete at the highest levels of the game.

Golf in Schools and Community Outreach

Through partnership with Colorado nonprofits, the CGA delivers free golf programming at CommonGround Golf Course—Home of the CGA. We design programming to serve each partner's unique mission and population. Partner organizations receive 4-8 weeks of free golf programming at CommonGround with professional instruction, equipment, and tailored curriculum. Every participant receives a year-long pass to play the Par 3 short course, providing ongoing access beyond structured programming.

Community Grantmaking

The CGA and Colorado Golf Foundation, the charitable arm of the CGA, awarded nearly $120,000 in grants to programs and organizations that impacted approximately 60,000 young people across the state, 31,000 directly through golf-specific programs.

 More than two-thirds of this year's grant funding was awarded to community organizations dedicated to youth development and community engagement, while the remaining one-third supported CGA programs that directly serve junior golfers and youth caddies. Thirty-seven percent of the children served are girls, and nearly half are under the age of 12.
