At Colorado Ceasefire, we know gun violence destroys the lives of too many Coloradans. Every day
we raise awareness about the dangers of gun violence in our homes and communities, and work
with Colorado lawmakers to implement and maintain gun safety reforms that keep families and children
free from harm—because every Coloradan has the right to feel safe where they work, live, learn and
play.
We are Colorado's original grassroots gun violence prevention organization: parents, teachers, students, community members, gun violence survivors, and others who have been working since 2000 to prevent and reduce gun violence in our state. We provide education, outreach, and legislative advocacy.
Colorado Ceasefire Outreach advances education and advocacy to reduce gun violence by strengthening communities and shaping effective interventions. We work with schools, churches, community groups, and government agencies to offer reliable, non-political information and training. Our 2025 community workshops and outreach efforts have taken place in Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Greeley, Boulder, Brighton, Towoac, and Columbine, and our professional workshops have reached Larimer and Arapahoe counties.
- Our Secure Storage educational programming helps gun owners keep their weapons from ending up in the wrong hands.

- Our Extreme Risk Protection Order (Red Flag) Law Outreach builds awareness of how ERPOs work, helping people learn how to temporarily remove guns from those who may be dangerous to themselves or others.

- Our youth leadership program is producing the next generation of leaders in the fight against gun violence.

- Our Volunteer Program empowers people from all backgrounds to get involved and help keep their own communities safe.

- ColoradoCeasefire.org is a hub for Colorado-based information and resources on gun violence prevention strategies, laws, and policy.
