The Civic Canopy's annual Summit that brings together over 200 partners from across Colorado to enhance their knowledge and skills on creating effective collaborative spaces for diverse perspectives to engage in real community change. Attendees leave with an expanded toolkit of best practices in addition to an extended network of support.
Annual Summit evaluations demonstrate the learning, skill building and practice change.
The BUILD CONNECTIONS pillar of our work involves developing and supporting Civic Network, a technology-based resource designed to disseminate tools and best practices that support collaborative efforts, engage partners in discussion and information sharing, and connect efforts across disciplines and geography. http://www.civicnetwork.io/
Civic Network launched in November 2016. As of April 2018, there are over 500 users with profiles and 38 networks with collaborative work space created.
The BUILD CAPACITY pillar of our work focuses on equipping partners and communities with the knowledge, skills, and tools to successfully carry out collaborative strategic planning, network development/stewardship and community engagement. The Canopy offers a variety of trainings, peer learning communities, coaching and individualized supports. Annually, the Canopy offers a Lecture and a Summit that brings over 200 individuals and partners together from across Colorado to engage in a shared learning experience, building skills and knowledge in successful collective impact efforts (http://www.civiccanopy.org/summit/#home).
The Canopy is implementing a evaluation plan that allows us to collect data throughout a project lifecycle and understand what community support is having the most impact on building the capacity to partner effectively and achieve real change.
