Arvada Chorale ... For the Next 40 Years

As a true community chorus, open to all singers, the Arvada Chorale is dear to my heart. The Monday nights I spend singing with 65 friends are the best hours of my week.

I've served as president of the Chorale for two seasons. It's no small thing to run an arts organization with a 40-year history. Last year, to my great pride, we turned a $7,000 deficit in our 2015-16 season into a $65.37 profit the following year. It was almost a full-time job.

Now I have a real full-time job, and we need a little more than $65.37.

My mission for Colorado Gives Day is to raise $4,000 in honor of the Arvada Chorale's 40th season, which we celebrate Dec. 9 and 10 with a reunion concert. In June 2018, we are doing something new, an a capella festival -- The Whole Aca-Lada -- with high school singers, other local choirs and the Face Vocal Band.

At the $100 level, donors receive a pair of season tickets. At the $500 level, the premium includes 10 season tickets plus logo recognition at concerts and on our website. If you give $1,000 or more, I will personally come to your house and sing until you tell me to stop.
