Testimonials

Leadership Douglas County was an invaluable experience for me. I began the program six months after moving to the county. Learning about the county's history, politics and concerns, meeting the key players, and networking with my classmates has given me the knowledge and confidence to walk into any meeting anywhere in the county. I would highly recommend this program. - Anonymous Participant, LDC

Leadership Douglas County provides an excellent opportunity to learn about local issues and resources that effect our quality of life in Douglas County. I had the opportunity to attend the course 2002 and was so impressed with the speakers, the comrade of the class and more exciting watching my team mates excel over the years with the information they obtained. I encourage everyone I know to attend LDC you will be amazed. - David A. Weaver, U.S. Marshal

Leadership Douglas County will change your life. You'll be amazed at the rich tapestry of communities, projects, organizations, and government entities that make our county so dynamic. Most importantly, you'll tap into your own power in a newly "local" way. - Carole Murray, Retired, Majority Caucus Chair, (Colorado House of Representatives)

Participating in LDC provided me with an opportunity to grow as a leader, to build relationships with other leaders in our county and to gain a deeper understanding of the resources our county supports. I looked forward to seeing my classmates each month, and at the end of the year, I better appreciated the place where I call home. - Jill Garber, Director (CSU Regional Engagement Center at Castle Rock)
