Our Mission Statement: Help all students achieve their highest academic and character potential using proven, accelerated academic programs while providing a safe environment.
Caprock Academy K-12 Charter Public School opened in 2007 in Grand Junction, Colorado by passionate and dedicated parents who knew they wanted a top-notch education and safe environment for their children. With unrelenting determination, their dream became a reality.
With a two-story residential house for offices and six modular units for classrooms, 280 students from Kindergarten through 5th grade had 19 teachers and educational aides braving new territory with a classical school curriculum.
Today our school has expanded to all grades K-12, conferred six graduating classes and serve over 850 students and employs 130 employees. Earlier in 2019, we started our Phase II construction project, adding to our main brick and mortar building three wings which will replace modular buildings and all housed on one campus.
At Caprock Academy, we are community focused on both our Caprock Family and our larger community in the Grand Valley. We endeavor to be good stewards of our school, our land, and to create service projects giving back to our community and making a difference in people's lives. Our Core Values are Academics, Character and Accountability. We create a safe school environment where students can focus on learning and build their personal integrity. Caprock students are motivated and educated to be college of choice ready when they graduate from high school.
