Cantabile Singers

A nonprofit organization

We believe choral music has the power to connect humanity. It deepens the connection with ourselves, our neighbors, and the world. It allows diverse individuals to unite and offer harmonious, shared meaning through song. Cantabile has shared this gift with Boulder County for over 30 years.

Testimonials

Amazing group of singers that always puts together a wonderful concert. They often collaborate with vocal soloists, other choirs, and instrumental groups/orchestras. Their tickets are very reasonably priced, and there are always cookies at intermission." - Felicia L

"Cantabile performances are a delightful experience" - C T

Mission

The Cantabile Singers' mission is to connect humanity through choral music.

Background Statement

Cantabile was founded in Boulder in the late 1970s as the Saint Cecilia Singers but later evolved into the Cantabile Singers. Some founding members remain a part of the choir even today. While the choir has grown in musical quality and size, its commitment to the community and each other remain steadfast. From 1992 to 2010, Cantabile was directed by Robert Farr, who remains an involved Director Emeritus today. Since Farr's transition, the choir had the privilege of partnering with three choral postdoc directors, Alejandro Gomez-Guillen, Hannah Wunsch, and Paul Thompson, all of whom went on to pursue full time professional careers as musical directors. Sine 2016, Cantabile has been under the leadership of Artistic Director, Brian Stone.
