At CSDR, we are dedicated to finding the best possible home for each small dog we have in our care. We are committed to good health & quality of life for each & every little one that we rescue. All of our little ones are placed in healthy, safe & loving foster homes & are not in a shelter situation.
My name is Jody and my husband, Julio, and I just adopted the love of our lives from your wonderful organization almost a month ago. I just wanted to take a moment and commend everyone involved in this process!!
Everyone was so friendly and helpful and always made us feel so comfortable. We fell in love with our sweet baby, Lenny (formerly known as Leinie) instantly from his picture and bio on your website and couldn't wait to make him a part of our family! (We learned about him from Jennifer, who works with my husband, and whose enthusiasm for the dogs in your organization makes us want to adopt another!!).
After submitting our application, we were contacted almost immediately for the home visit. When we met Lance (and Roxy!) at our home visit, we felt like we had known him forever. He was so friendly and personable, it made the process so easy and comfortable. Then we felt the same way about Pat when we met her at to get our baby. She was so caring with Lenny, we felt so grateful that he had such good care! We have adopted before from shelters in the metro area, but this process was so wonderful because the dogs seem so much less stressed and so well taken care of by all of your awesome foster parents!!

At Chihuahua & Small Dog Rescue, Inc., we are dedicated to finding the best possible home for each Chihuahua and small dog we have in our care. Also, we are committed to good health and quality of life for each and every little one that we rescue. All of our little furry friends are placed in healthy, safe and loving foster homes and, therefore, are not housed in a shelter situation.
Our Rescue's mission does not end with just placing dogs in new homes. We work hard to educate the public on how to meet the needs of small dogs and how to avoid abusive and neglectful situations with these little pets.
Chihuahua & Small Dog Rescue, Inc. was started Oct, 2005 with only two volunteers. Our thought at the time was to have a small organization to help a few small dogs a year. By January 2006 we already had 10 volunteers and had rescued 17 small dogs. The overwhelming need to rescue small dogs in the state of Colorado has caused the organization to continually grow.
