Our mission is to provide low-income children in Colorado with the life-changing experience of making music. Learning to play a musical instrument will truly change a child's life. Students improve their listening skills, ability to work with others, critical thinking, self-discipline and self-esteem. We've seen it happen with the thousands of children our program has already benefited.
We collect donated band and orchestra instruments, repair them and then award those instruments to deserving underfunded school music programs throughout Colorado. To date we have awarded more than 6,500 instruments to hundreds of elementary, middle and high schools in our state.
Our biggest expense is repair of the donated instruments. Your generosity enables us to refurbish a donated instrument and put it in the hands of a child. $100 repairs a violin. $125 repairs a cornet. $225 repairs a flute. $300 repairs a saxophone. With your help we can continue to bring instruments and music into the lives of Colorado's kids.
