Your donation makes a real difference.
The Boulder International Film Festival’s impact reaches far beyond its screenings. BIFF nurtures creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange, enriching Boulder’s arts scene and strengthening community connections. Our Call2Action Program partners with local organizations to spotlight issues affecting underrepresented communities, sparking meaningful dialogue and awareness. Educational Outreach programs help students explore identity, community, and intercultural understanding through film, while our year-round senior outreach engages more than 1,000 seniors annually. BIFF also provides vital exhibition and learning opportunities for filmmakers, musicians, writers, and students, including a free singer-songwriter showcase.
Your support helps make all of this possible. The 22nd Annual Boulder International Film Festival takes place April 9-12, 2026.
The mission of the Colorado Film Society (CFS) is to encourage and celebrate the art of film by creating a dynamic forum for artistic, social and cultural awareness in the community.
Filmmakers Kathy and Robin Beeck founded the Colorado Film Society (CFS) in 2004 and united organizations and volunteers who share the common goals of the CFS. With a 2-person staff and a team of 140 volunteers, the CFS launched the successful Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) in 2005, implemented a popular year-round educational outreach program and developed a community resource program partnering with many nonprofits. BIFF 2025 involved a team of over 500 volunteers, received hundreds of thousands in in-kind support, and had over 20,000 attendances. The CFS is the only organization of its kind serving the community in Boulder County.
