Biking Should Be Safe
Nobody should have to experience the loss of their loved one in traffic violence. Like you, we are worried about the safety of our kids, spouses, parents, friends, and ourselves when we bike. The number of fatalities involving bicyclists and pedestrians reached an all-time high in 2023. This is not just a statistic—it's a crisis that demands urgent action. We help bicyclists feel safe riding where and when they want by pursuing infrastructure, laws, and education that protect vulnerable road users.
This is work that can—and must—be done. Together, we can make Colorado a safer place to bike and protect lives. We can do it with your help.

To advocate for all people who ride bikes
Bicycle Colorado is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Denver. For over 30 years, we've used advocacy, education, and passion to make Colorado one of the most bicycle-friendly states in the nation. We encourage and promote bicycling, increase safety, improve conditions, and provide a voice for people who ride bicycles in Colorado. With the support of our members and numerous partnerships across the public and private sector, we've made significant strides in improving bicycling since 1992.
