Description

ACI's trained staff teaches individuals with disabilities innovative approaches to performing basic tasks that lead to independence, such as cooking, accessing public benefits, budgeting, resume writing, application assistance, and employment-readiness training.

Description

ACI assists people who live in nursing home facilities and institutional settings to transition back into their own homes and communities. The organization locates housing and assists individuals with purchasing essential items for their new housing. ACI provides extended services with weekly support to ensure ongoing success in the transition, including assistance in navigating Section 8 housing eligibility. ACI also works with youth in transitioning from high school to post-secondary life, through further education and/or employment.
