The Arvada Chorale's primary goal is to provide for the enlightenment and entertainment of the public and its membership through the production, presentation, exhibition, advancement and preservation of choral music.
Both membership and audience increased in 2019-2020. We were pleased to include 45 elementary school students in our community holiday concert, and we were the featured choir with the Denver Philharmonic for their holiday concerts. While our audiences are important, our key constituency is our singers themselves, who receive all the physical, emotional and social benefits of choral singing, as well as the opportunity to perform for the community, family and friends in Arvada and Jefferson County. We serve members from age 22 to age 83, and in the last three years have increased our membership among young adults in their 20s and 30s, seeking to build a bridge to lifelong community music from the strong performing arts programs in local high schools and colleges. Our conductor is former director of the Denver Women's Chorus, and we are a welcoming music community for LGBTQ singers.
