Description

The Art Garage customizes offsite enrichment programs that meet every school's needs. Our instructors will go into the schools bringing our high quality art education classes to the students in Pre-K to high school.

We offer anything from one day classes to semester long sessions for as little as 4 students up to 30.

The Art Garage will work closely with the school and teachers to set up a proposal and program that will be most beneficial to the students.

The value of learning art lies in not only boosting a child's creativity, intelligence, and over-all well-being-among many positives-but it's also proven that art aids in a child's understanding of all the other scholastic subjects.

Evidence of Program's Success

"The ARK program through The Art Garage is a gift to the women I serve.
They are women in the toughest of situations- drug and alcohol-addicted,
often homeless, pregnant, often severely traumatized. I watch core issues
they bring of damaged self-expression, self-efficacy, self-esteem, and
self-compassion get gently worked with through the support and guidance
of highly engaged and skillful facilitators. The best part is that it doesn't
feel to my clients like "work" or "therapy," but a break where they have
a chance to create and play." -Testimonial from a therapist of ARK participants
