(2012)Rangeview Library Friends Foundation
The Anythink Foundation supports Anythink libraries by raising and managing funds donated from the private sector. This support helps the library continue its mission to "open doors for curious minds" as a dynamic center for engagement.

Impact Statement

The goal of the Anythink Foundation is to support the key strategies of the library through fundraising activities. These strategies include: creating a learning organization for staff and community, growing a participatory library, collaborating with our community, supporting innovation through technology and shifting perceptions of Anythink and libraries.

Our top accomplishments for 2012 were building internal awareness about the Anythink Foundation among staff at Anythink Libraries. The Foundation was also able to support projects like the Nature Explore outdoor classroom at Anythink Wright Farms, programs like hosting author/illustrator Eric Litwin at several library branches, and helping to fund a community collaborative art project on the eastern plains at the Anythink Bennett library.

This year, the Anythink Foundation launched the first-annual Backyard Concert Series, raising money for future Nature Explore classrooms at Anythink. The program was a huge success and has allowed us to start the next outdoor classroom at Anythink Brighton.

Needs Statement

Funds raised by the Anythink Foundation support programs and services in four key areas:
• Capital projects
• Public art
• Expansion of collections
• Exceptional programs, activities and computer education

Background Statement

Formed in 2009, the Anythink Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 developed to raise private funds for Anythink Libraries. The Anythink Foundation helps Adams County residents and the library to shoot for the moon and tap into their best selves. By supporting initiatives that help enhance people's quality of life, Anythink becomes more than a library; it becomes a destination.

The projects funded by the Anythink Foundation fall outside of the scope of the district's normal operations. Initiatives like Anythink's public art projects, creativity labs, special programs and more are eligible for funding through the Anythink Foundation. And at Anythink, there's never a lack of new ideas sprouting.

Executive Director Statement

Board Chair/President Statement

The Anythink Foundation over the past two years has made great strides in building awareness about the foundation itself and Anythink libraries in Adams County. We've spent time working with the library staff, building awareness internally, and have recently held a very successful concert series to bring the community together and let people know how they can contribute to the Anythink Foundation. We still have work to do in growing relationships and building that awareness, but we have a great staff and board who are passionate about supporting Anythink's mission to "open doors for curious minds."
