American Gelbvieh Foundation

The American Gelbvieh Foundation recognizes the need for continued genetic advancement in producing affordable, healthy protein for the world population. Genetic advancement of beef cattle is vital as the demand for protein in a growing population will drive the need to produce more beef with less available land mass. The key will be unlocking undiscovered genetic potential to more efficiently produce the safest, most nutritious beef in the world.

Mission Statement

"The American Gelbvieh Foundation (AGF) secures, grows and responsibly distributes assets for research, member education, and youth development to sustain and grow Gelbvieh genetics."

Organization History

In 1991 the American Gelbvieh Foundation (AGF) was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation as an instrument to receive tax-deductible donations. The foundation is taking a more active role in supporting the advancement of science, education of adult members and the development of our youth. Today contributions help ensure the AGF can continue to provide necessary opportunities in support of the American Gelbvieh Association.
