$5,000 Goal

Please help Alpenglow Chamber Music Festivals continue to bring world class music to the mountains!
Your annual generous giving, reliable attendance and creative volunteering keep Alpenglow Chamber Music in Summit County. Thank you.

We are thrilled to have a donor who is matching our Colorado Gives donations at the rate of $.50 on every dollar, up to $5000 in donations. Our goal is to receive the full match by raising $5,000 in the next 7 days. This would represent a 300% in fundraising over last year.   If we meet our goal, we may qualify for the Colorado Gives $5,000 Growth Prize, an incentive grant for the nonprofit with the biggest year over year growth on Coloradogives.org.

Testimonials

"This was our first Alpenglow Festival, and we will definitely attend more concerts next season!  The Soiree evening was an absolute delight, the music was just wonderful and the insights from Jesse, Rieko and Derek were so interesting.   And I think that the food and wine was as good as you'd find in any restaurant in the county". Fall 2023

"I have enjoyed the Alpenglow concerts for the past few years, the diversity of the music is so special, even though I attend many large orchestral concerts in various cities, these are truly special and unlike any other classical concert". Fall 2023

"It was an evening with incredible music by such talented musicians. We are so lucky to have this superb talent come to our small community and perform." Fall 2022

"What a wonderful experience, being in the midst of world class musicians. And the free performance at Silverthorne Pavilion was a gift to all of us." Fall 2022

"I have never had such an extensive experience with chamber music, but I discovered a fascinating array of music coming from these few instruments.   It struck me that there is an intimacy with the few instruments that seems sharper and more stimulating than listening to a full orchestra. I’ll be back next season!" Fall 2022

"Outstanding performances by incredibly gifted musicians." Fall 2019

"It was a magical evening" Fall 2018

"Music - It's always first class. I so appreciate that Jessie and Rieko obviously put much thought into selection and preparation." June 2017

"Where do you find these incredible musicians?" Joe Lanuza, Board Member of Oistrakh Symphony in Chicago, June 2016.

Mission

Alpenglow Chamber Music Festivals, Inc. is an active 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization that is dedicated to improving the quality of life and enhancing the cultural life for residents and guests of Summit County and Colorado by providing quality performance of chamber music performed by nationally and internationally acclaimed musical artists and promoting appreciation of chamber music through education, outreach and audience development. We offer access for concerts with affordable prices, develop the artistic and technical proficiency of our students, and encourage local music students with scholarship awards.

Background Statement

Our Alpenglow Chamber Music 2023 festival was a triumph, celebrating chamber classics by Haydn, Mendelssohn and Saint-Saens, alongside new works by composers of today.

The New York City based Horszowski Trio returned, and we welcomed back the beautiful soprano, Ilana Davidson. After more than 20 years, London based violist Max Mandel returned to Alpenglow performing Bach Goldberg Variations. Another highlight was the Colorado premiere of a new work by Derek Bermel, one of America’s most sought-after innovators.

This year's Festival workshop for our High School music students was well received by all, and we were pleased that a number of students attended a community concert (for free). We are thrilled to have awarded two student scholarships this year, one to a rising Senior to assist with college tuition and the second to a Middle School student to assist with private lessons.

Alpenglow Chamber Music Festivals began in 1998 and is now in its 27th season! Founded by two distinguished former musicians from the Colorado Symphony, concertmaster Steven Copes and clarinetist Bill Jackson, the Festival has had a very exciting musical journey. The Artistic Directors, Rieko Aizawa and Jesse Mills, bring the highest quality to Alpenglow, sharing in the joy of music, and reaching out to younger generation.
