Home Sweet Hope

More than 30 years ago, a small group of caring neighbors gathered in a church basement with one powerful belief — that no one in our community should face homelessness alone. From that moment, Almost Home was born.

What began as a small, volunteer-led effort has grown into one of Northern Colorado’s leading nonprofits, serving families and individuals across Adams, Broomfield, and southern Weld Counties.

Our work has always been about more than providing shelter — it’s about restoring dignity, rebuilding stability, and creating home sweet hope for those we serve.

Today, we’re facing one of the most challenging seasons in our history. Recent federal funding cuts have reduced critical housing resources, even as the need continues to grow. Every week, more parents, children, and seniors turn to us for help — and we remain determined not to turn them away.

With your support, we can continue to meet that growing need through a range of life-changing programs:

🏠 Housing Stability Program – Rent, mortgage, and utility assistance to prevent homelessness before it begins.

👨‍👩‍👧 Family Emergency Shelter Program – Safe shelter and support for up to seven families at a time.

❄️ Severe Weather Activation Program – Emergency motel stays during dangerous weather conditions.

🤝 Street Outreach Program – Compassionate engagement and resources for our unsheltered neighbors.

💜 Respite Housing Program – Extended motel stays for individuals and families fleeing domestic violence.

🔑 Rapid Re-Housing Program – Helping people transition quickly from homelessness into stable housing.

🕊️ Housing Navigation Center – Walk-in resource center offering immediate guidance and assistance.

At Almost Home, every success story begins with one person deciding to care. Your support helps us open more doors, offer more hope, and build a stronger, more compassionate community — where everyone has a place to belong.
