Testimonials

"You guys honestly saved my life. I have 98 days of sobriety today and I'm enjoying every single second of it. I'm holding on to my sobriety with everything I've got because I know in a second it can be gone. Words can't even express my gratitude." -Whitney

"I was as far down in life as I had ever been when walked through the doors of New Directions for Families. I have now been a resident of New Directions for 3 months with my 3-year-old son. Thanks to New Directions, I finally am who I am... I am a woman who is loving, caring, and understanding. For the first time in 11 years, I am a happy, healthy and sober person. I am very proud to say that I have 102 days clean today!" -Kelly

"Four years ago today, I picked up my son from his 2nd stay at Stepwise. He is 4+ years happy, healthy and clean. Forever grateful!" -a parent

Background Statement

For more than 40 years, Arapahoe House has been a champion for families and individuals with alcohol, drug and other behavioral health issues. We have help people in our community, our friends, neighbors, siblings, parents and children, find recovery. Today, we help more than 15,000 members of our community find help, hope and healing from addiction every year.

Our 8 treatment centers in Colorado were established in 1975 as a single non-medical, detoxification facility in Arapahoe County. The Arapahoe County League of Women Voters was instrumental in our formation, with initial funding derived from the Colorado Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division and Arapahoe County. Arapahoe House has a national reputation for innovative and effective treatment programs including residential, outpatient, and DUI services.

Arapahoe House has 8 locations and more than 20 quality treatment programs in Colorado for individuals and families. We serve the five-county metro Denver area: Aurora, Denver, Lakewood, Littleton, Sheridan, Thornton, and Westminster.
