Details: How does a Colorado MPC employee donation of $1 result in $8.32 going to the Boys & Girls Clubs? For any donations made on this site plus Marathon Petroleum's promised 60% match between now and November 22nd, I will personally match 100% up to $5,000. Marathon Petroleum will match 60% with NO LIMIT for all our donations by employees during this period. You save 50% of your donations in Colorado state tax deduction because the Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit allows you to get a dollar for dollar deduction on your state taxes for donations to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. Why do I work so hard to support this cause?

I overcame some serious challenges when I was a child thanks to the tremendous support and mentorship I received from some safe and trusting adult relationships. I am up for sharing my story one-on-one if anyone would like to hear it because my experience illustrates exactly what the Boys & Girls Clubs do for 10,000+ kids in the Denver area. The Clubs engage every child NOT as a problem to deal with, but as an opportunity with unlimited potential. This is why I have worked so hard to help this great organization since moving back to CO in 2010 and this is why I continue to serve on the organization's Board of Directors

What your donation will do for Denver kids and their families?

For nearly 60 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver has been there for kids and families when they need it most: after school, all day in the summer, and even during the school day. With 20 locations in the Denver area plus 1 summer camp in the mountains, the Clubs provide 1,000,000 hours of service to the community each year. Membership is open to kids ages 6-18 and offers a wealth of programming that has the power to positively shape and change their lives - all for just $2 per year! The Clubs in the Denver area serve 10,000+ kids and provide 275,000+ meals annually. 83%+ of Club kids from low-income households with approximately half in single-parent or non-traditional households.
