After 8 years of growing and donating food (over 20,000 pounds in total), developing greater community by working, eating, and talking together, and doing all of it without the benefit of a home base, the time has come for The Table to set down roots. The Table is raising funds to acquire a building that will:
1) house educational programs for food, nutrition, and kitchen skills
2) provide greater capacity for the community of impact to come together
3) consolidate daily operation and storage spaces under one roof
4) create opportunities for sustainable income to support the mission
