Testimonials

. The "O" Line opens up holes to give the running backs a space to score; ZBPF creates opportunities giving the gifts of fun, excitement and joy to young patients and their families. We are proud to share in the first four years of our Foundation's existence; ZBPF has provided more than 3,500 Greatest Gift Programs bringing a sense of normalcy and happiness to more than 6,000 families. In 2017, ZBPF had a banner year and sent 50+ hometown families to cheer on the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers, hosted 4 pancake breakfasts, built a Sports Court at Brent's Place, and sponsored a Holiday Extravaganza at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.

I just wanted to thank you for all of your support and for helping us get tickets for the game. As I had mentioned, we had a wonderful experience meeting some of the players at the game vs. the Texans. I was e-mailing you to thank Zane for the cleats and gloves he wore in the game and sent to Little Mario and for my daughter Christal, Zane is an awesome player with a great heart! We can't stop thanking him. Please let him know that Little Mario and Christal can't stop thanking him for the wonderful gifts he sent them. Please let him know that they are thankful! Thank you Zane!!!

ZBPF is proud to call Denver our home and as Denver continues to grow so does our Foundation; ZBPF has also realized there is a need to support families while they are staying in the hospital. In 2018, another goal is to create our first Zane's Zone, an interactive room at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children [RMHC]. This non-procedure playroom will alleviate the isolation of a hospital and replaces it with a space in which the connection to family and friends is enhanced. It will also provide parents with a quiet place to work, making it easier for them to spend more time with their child while in the hospital. Through Zane's Zone, we are creating a true community of support; a space in which these families are provided with resources and programmingâ€Ĥ a zone in which young patients can forget their worries for a little while and just be kids!

Room Design:
While planning the first Zane's Zone, we noticed there is a growing need and demand for this type of space. RMHC has invited our project to be used as a pilot program and would like to open more Zane's Zones in its other hospitals. The design of the first Zone will be area-specific and reflect Colorado's rich history, landscape, colors and serenity. We will also engage Colorado sports teams for their involvement. Our vision for the teen room is to provide a comfortable "hang-out" like space. The age-appropriate toddler room will have more stimulation.

In the Zane's Zone, ZBPF will provide weekly programming opportunities for families to participate in either as a group or individually. We will partner with the Child Life Specialist as well as other guest specialists and organizations to facilitate the programming. Our goal is to present programs in a fun way where participants will have to work together as a team to solve a series of puzzles, find clues to escape the room, or share a story such as "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Chemoâ€Ĥ"

This is just an initial list of programming options to support our families. We will expand our offerings with additional ideas.

Mission

Zane Beadles Parade Foundation supports the journey of young people going through life-threatening medical experiences. Driven by our mission, we strive to create supportive communities where young patients and their families can tackle the road to recovery with other facing similar experiences; enrich the lives by gifting them with new experiences they would not otherwise have; and empower them with an education to allow them to lead fulfilling lives during and after treatment.

Background Statement

Zane Beadles received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah where he played for the Utah Utes as a starting offensive lineman during all four years of his undergraduate career. In 2010, the Denver Broncos selected Zane in the second round of the NFL Draft. As a rookie, Zane started 14 games and was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team. After four years with the Broncos, including an AFC championship, Zane signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in March 2014 and two years later, Zane signed with the SF 49ers.

While playing for the University of Utah, Zane met Ryker, a 7 year-old boy with glioblastoma multiforme cancer, a common type of brain tumor. The team adopted Ryker as a member of the Utah Utes family and invited him onto the field and into the locker room during the football season. On February 24, 2007, Ryker lost his battle with cancer.

Zane's family history with cancer and his fondness for Ryker inspired him to take action.

In 2013, his passion for helping kids in need and gifting them with new experiences inspired Zane to establish the Zane Beadles Parade Foundation. Denver, Colorado will always be the home of the Foundation and as Denver continues to grow so does the Foundation. In the first four years of the Foundation's existence, ZBPF has provided more than 3,500 greatest gift programs and brought a sense of normalcy and happiness to more than 6,000 families. Creating fun memorable experiences for patients during their treatments has been proven to significantly improve their quality of live and overall recovery. Studies has proven the therapeutic programming-treatment that goes on beyond the hospital walls is just as effective as the treatment received in the hospital. Through our greatest gift program, we hope to relive the stress often experienced during treatment and contribute to the patients well being. We believe it is the greatest gift we can give them!
