What do Team “Mayfly Mermaids” and Colorado Greenback Trout have in common?   We’re all CUTTHROAT!

Please support Rachel Walker and Jessica Price in their upcoming irreverent event - The Davis Ponds NASCARP Flyathalon on May 30th at Staunton State Park.  The competition consists of three simple tasks:

RUN…FISH….BEER.

Our Mission:

  • Run 1 mile up and 1 mile back
  • Catch a fish and release it
  • Drink a craft beer

....and repeat that 3 times each! That’s right…12 miles, 6 fish and a six pack of beer between the two fisherwomen, and then our “Pit Crew” will drive our weary drunken bodies home.

Why do we do this?  RAISING MONEY for water conservation and protection of the native Colorado Greenback Cutthroat Trout and other amazing ecosystems. Every dollar raised goes directly to native trout conservation projects through Running Rivers, a Colorado-based nonprofit that has raised over $650,000 for native fish and their habitat since 2014. Colorado's native trout need people willing to fight for them and we are their champions.

PLEASE support us in this endeavor to raise money to protect our environment through the Running Rivers non profit.   No gift is too small….even $10 or $20 will add up to help us reach our goal of at least $500.   In addition, no gift is too large so feel free to go big and let the funds roll in!

Giving is easy! Just click on the blue DONATE button on the right side of this page, knowing all your money goes directly to conservation.  Thank you for your support…..we’re ready to run!
