The mission of NAMI Colorado is to build communities of recovery and hope by educating, supporting and advocating for individuals affected by mental illness and their families.

Our mission today is collect donations for the state of Colorado in honor of Patrick Gregorek, the late brother of our ASICS athlete, Johnny Gregorek, and late son of our ASICS staff member and former athlete, John Gregorek Sr.

Pat lost his battle with mental illness in 2019, and Johnny wanted to honor his brother in a way that was not too serious, just as Pat would have love. In May 2020, Johnny decided to attempt a world record for the fastest mile in a pair of blue jeans while raising funds for NAMI New York - another chapter of this nation-wide support and resource alliance.

With an abundance of support, Johnny was able to raise $32,000 for NAMI and set the world record in 4:06:29.

Today, ASICS, Fleet Feet Littleton, and NAMI Colorado are partnering to recreate this event by hosting a one-mile group run in blue jeans in honor of Pat and all of our friends, family, and neighbors who have been affected by mental illness.
