Pikes Peak Football & Cheer

Pikes Peak Panthers is a nonprofit youth sports organization committed to creating affordable, high-quality athletic opportunities for young people throughout Colorado Springs, with a particular focus on Southeast Colorado Springs. Our mission is to use sports as a pathway to help young people grow physically, mentally, socially, and academically while ensuring that cost and access do not prevent kids from having the opportunity to participate.

Our mission is bigger than wins and losses. We use sports to help student-athletes build confidence, discipline, leadership, friendships, healthy habits, and a strong sense of family and community.

Today, approximately 60% of our student-athletes come from Southeast Colorado Springs, making our work especially important in the community we were created to serve.

Our growth reflects the need for accessible and affordable youth sports opportunities. In fall 2025, Pikes Peak Panthers began with just two football teams, 10U and 11U, serving 38 student-athletes. One year later, our fall 2026 program has grown to five football divisions from 7U through 12U, with 133 football players and 151 student-athletes participating across football and cheer. We also expanded beyond our fall programs in 2026 by offering track & field, creating additional opportunities for young people to participate throughout the year.

Our impact extends beyond athletics as well. We look for opportunities to expose our student-athletes to new experiences, careers, and possibilities they may not otherwise encounter. That includes introducing them to Colorado Springs’ aerospace and space community. In 2026, some of our student-athletes had the opportunity to attend the 41st Space Symposium, giving them firsthand exposure to the people, organizations, technology, and career pathways helping shape the future of space.

As our programs and reach continue to grow, so does the need for community support. Funds raised through Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day will help offset the operational costs of providing our programs, including equipment, uniforms, facility expenses, league and program costs, scholarships, and other resources needed to keep participation affordable for families.

As we look toward 2027, we hope to continue expanding the opportunities available to young people in our community, including the potential addition of youth flag football and basketball. Our goal is to create more opportunities throughout the year for kids to stay active, build relationships, develop as young leaders, and discover opportunities beyond sports.
